Health Consultant Services
The Health Consultant is responsible for coordination of education / training programs on health, nutrition, and safety issues to be delivered to directors of early childhood programs, child caregivers, parents and children. The Health Consultant also provides technical assistance and support as needed to address health and safety issues or questions from childcare centers or families.
We know that children who cannot see or hear well are at risk of falling behind developmentally. Therefore, Resource Connection for Kids feels that it is very important to screen as many children as possible. This is another one of the Health Consultant’s responsibilities. Each month vision and hearing screenings are conducted at centers throughout the county by the Health Consultant. The Health Consultant is then available to discuss any concerns or questions that parents have about the screenings.
